As they watched the movie, Carol, with a mouth full of chips, asked Lilac why Torque didn't want to hang out with them, she told her he had some work to do. While hanging out, Lilac thought there would be plenty to do, especially now that Milla is around, but boredom soon struck Carol, so Lilac suggested they watch a movie and so they did. Lilac also invites Torque, whom she asks if he wanted to hang out, but he said he was going to try to fix his gadgets inside his tent (and to also hide his true identity). They had little success however, as the Kingdom Stone was stolen by their rival Spade, and Lilac meets and befriends Milla Basset, an orphan Hound Puppy who saved Carol from a collapsing cave and had been following her with a desire to meet a Dragon.Īfter the events at the Temple, Lilac invites Milla to live with her and Carol in their Treehouse, seeing that she was all alone in the woods. So, while Torque searches for his missing stuff lost in the plane crash, Lilac & Carol races to the Ancient Temple.

With that, Lilac & Carol offer to head over there, since Carol has a Motorcycle and Lilac being a Dragon, which are known to be super-fast. Torque then tells them that Mayor Zao has already sent Soldiers in disguise to the Ancient Temple. From there, he tells the Girls that there is a plot to steal the Kingdom Stone, despite Lilac doubting it to be possible and Carol claiming that only she could steal it (she wishes). Lilac's Treehouse is first seen after Lilac & Carol rescues Torque from Serpentine. But to avoid the Authorities as well as the Red Scarves, the Girls built it deep within the forests of the Valley Region, specifically in Dragon Valley.įreedom Planet Theft of the Kingdom Stone With the materials bought from the money they've "obtained", along with hard work and a fair share of carpentry knowledge, Lilac & Carol successfully built the Treehouse. So, they resorted to thievery by stealing from the rich as a means of survival. But due to their past affiliations with the Scarves, they were never given a chance to earn money legally. After leaving the ranks of the Red Scarves, the Girls needed a place to live, so they decided to build a Treehouse. Critics praised its gameplay, aesthetics, and balance of Sonic elements with original content, but were more mixed on its pacing and length. Not much is known about how or when Lilac's Treehouse was built, although it was presumably built by Lilac & Carol. Freedom Planet has been widely compared to the Sega Genesis Sonic games. A version for the Wii U console was announced in March 2015, but was postponed that August due to a troublesome glitch however, the game was finally released successfully on October 1, 2015. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, first as a demo in August 2012, then-after a successful Kickstarter campaign and a few delays-as a full game via Steam on July 21, 2014. Though Freedom Planet was developed in Denmark, its art direction has East Asian influences: its background visuals were inspired by medieval Chinese art, and the game's title is written in katakana. Further changes were suggested by fans and incorporated throughout development. Lilac, originally a hedgehog, became a dragon antagonist Doctor Eggman was replaced by Brevon and the Sonic series' ring-based health system was abandoned.

Aided by the duck-like Torque, the player attempts to defeat the evil Lord Brevon, who plans to conquer the galaxy. The player controls one of three anthropomorphic animal protagonists: the dragon Lilac, the wildcat Carol, or the basset hound Milla. Freedom Planet is a two-dimensional platform video game created by independent developer GalaxyTrail, a studio set up for the project by designer Stephen DiDuro.
